LIAF @ Gatufest

The audience is worked up after LL. They're chanting "Ace of Base, Ace of Base"! The energy from LL is definitely carrying over to LIAF.

The band takes a little time between LL and LIAF to introduce each other to the audience. Jenny asks everyone to say hi to Ulf once, twice, then a third time. She asks them to say hi to Jonas next. Ulf gets the crowd to say hi to Jenny. The crowd is a little off on their greetings, not really all together.

You hear some people in the background chanting as Jenny asks Jonas about his guitar. She's going to talk about Jonas being the main songwriter and how she's proud of him, how the song was written on his guitar, etc. But the energy in the crowd is bubbling over and they're not really focused on what she's saying, so she cuts it short and goes straight to the music.

You can't hear the first couple of lines because the crowd is still drowning her out with their noise. Once the crowd hears what the next song is, they get wise and tone down the decibel level.

Ulf spends this song standing at his keyboard and computer station. Anna and Susanna are with Jonas and Jenny at the front.

Jonas stands and sings. Anna and Susanna stand and clap. Jenny's running back and forth across the stage from left to right then back again. After walking back from the right hand side, she stops and sings in front of David, Jessi, and Anja.

Jenny seems to be having fun with this song. As I watch her cross the stage again and again, I wonder how difficult it is to sing and run around like that. Regardless of the difficulty, she makes it look easy. She's getting the crowd involved and looks genuinely happy on stage.

LIAF is another song you just can't help but sing along with. Everyone joins in. It sweeps you along and before you know it, you're singing with every ounce of yourself. It has the same effect on this Sundsvall crowd.

Jenny starts waving one hand back and forth and the majority of everyone watching follows her lead.

As I watch everyone swaying their hands and singing along, I'm excited. Excited that these people are truly enjoying the band. I know how much enjoyment I've experienced when listening to AOB all these years, now these people are here doing the same.

Their yells of appreciation nearly drown out the final few lines of the song. And I think I actually feel my heart skip a beat.
